Integrated Doctoral Education Program is a combined master's- doctoral program that allows students to earn two degrees in as short as three years (one year for a master's degree, two years for a doctorate). Students with outstanding academic records are eligible to receive scholarships from Japan's Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT). Students choose one of the following seven curricular programs: Sustainable Engineering Program. Integrated Doctoral Education Program. This program aims to develop highly skilled engineers with a wide range of knowledge and ability to apply their expertise. Students will be trained to facilitate corporate expansion into developing countries and lead projects of international organizations by developing and innovating necessary technologies. Postgraduate Program for Multinational Architects in Conjunction with Engineering and Urban Design. Master's program. This program aims to develop world- class architects equipped with superior skills in engineering design who will be prepared to tackle the various challenges that face high- density, complex cities such as Tokyo. International Graduate Program for Bioscience and Biotechnology. Integrated Doctoral Education Program. This program aims to develop global leaders in the field of bioscience and biotechnology who are capable of solving the mounting global problems that confront us today. The program focuses on activities and on- site training that cultivate creativity and social skills. International students and local students study together to build networks of mutually beneficial relationships. International Program for Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering (IPISE)Integrated Doctoral Education Program. IPISE offers three interdisciplinary curricular programs: materials science, environment and energy, and information systems. It aims to develop scientists and engineers who can independently solve problems, and targets outstanding international students who have the potential to contribute to scientific and technological development. Education Program of Advanced Information Technology Leaders. Master's and doctoral programs. Japan is a leader in multi- media processing, human interface technology, embedded software and robot informatics. Study in classes that are focused on discussions and presentations. Join a strong network of alumni. International Program on Earthquake Engineering (EEP)Integrated Doctoral Education Program. This program aims to develop highly- skilled engineers and researchers who will become global leaders in seismic mitigation, a subject that is becoming increasingly complex. Students study Japan's earthquake hazard mitigation technologies through collaborative learning, practical activities, and research with Japanese students. The program seeks applicants with fundamental knowledge of architecture, civil engineering and social science. International Graduate Program (B)IGP (B) accepts applications from: Students applying to Tokyo Institute of Technology- RIKEN International School. Students who are scheduled to receive scholarships from non- Japanese organizations or governments but require a letter of acceptance in advance. Tokyo Institute of Technology- RIKEN International School offers international students an opportunity to enroll in a doctoral program at Tokyo Tech. Students receive academic advice from both Tokyo Tech and RIKEN faculty members and conduct research at both institutions. The school offers three curricular programs: 1)Bioscience and Biotechnology.
